Our nationally recognized anti-recidivism program fosters second chances for returning citizens and alternative sentencing programs for those on probation, providing professional support and personal coaching to help them get back on their feet and avoid re-offending.

Our comprehensive career academy readies Metro Detroiters for careers in high demand, high wage careers, including welding, construction and customer service.

As part of the statewide Michigan Works! Association, our career centers equip metro Detroiters with free resources and workshops they need to prepare for and find employment. We also assist businesses in locating employees.

Goodwill’s Life Skills services help adults living with intellectual and developmental strengthen employment skills, financial literacy, communication, socialization, healthy living and daily living leading to increased independence.

Goodwill’s Supports Coordination team helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities navigate support services in their communities. Each participant receives a tailor-made plan to help them reach their goals.

Our Clubhouse immerses those with mental illness in a collaborative, supportive community environment while offering transitional work experience, supported employment and independent employment.

For 70+ years, Goodwill’s Green Works has safely recycled metals, oils, machinery, appliances and foam to minimize environmental harm and give industrial waste a second life. Green Works also provides job training and employment opportunities for individuals with barriers, including those who are justice-involved.

For more than a century, we combine high-performance industrial solutions, including assembly, kitting, inspection, packaging, distribution, rework and reverse logistics, with a strong social mission: creating work opportunities for individuals with barriers.

Goodwill’s iconic retail shops are more than thrift stores. Each helps to fuel free job training and support services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Our thrift stores also work within their local municipalities and schools to provide employment opportunities for community members, including those with disabilities and other barriers.
