Former GM executive Jay Wilber named new president of Goodwill's Green Works, Inc. 

General Motors veteran Jay Wilber has been named President of Goodwill’s Green Works, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodwill Industries that offers cost-saving, labor-intensive asset recovery and recycling services to socially conscious municipalities, utilities and manufacturers. Green Works earnings support Goodwill Industries’ mission to educate and train Metro Detroiters who face employment challenges and to help those individuals earn local jobs. Goodwill to bring upscale resale store, 25 jobs to Dearborn

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit has won approval to open an upscale resale store in the community. The planned 15,000-square-foot store is expected to create 25 new local jobs and attract 70,000 customers and donors in its first year. Expected to open by fall 2012, the Dearborn location will be modeled after Goodwill's highly successful upscale resale store in Canton. Read more here.
