In 2007, 575 men
and women gained transitional work through the Industrial
Services Parts & Packaging Center and earned $618,819 in
wages in the process. In total, 13,373 people accessed
a wide array of employment and training services at Goodwill
Industries of Greater Detroit's eight service sites in
Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. Funding sources
included governmental contracts, private and corporate
foundations, individual support, and United Way of
Southeastern Michigan.
As an ongoing
measure of service quality, Goodwill regularly surveys
employers, family members/guardians and trainees.
Survey results showed a 98 percent approval rating from
persons receiving Employment Services.

Goodwill’s experienced staff is able to assess an
individual’s abilities and make an appropriate job
match. In addition, a Goodwill staff representative
is accessible and responsive to the employer’s
needs.
